There are many different career development
activities that take place in classrooms all over the state, as determined
by local educators. These activities are integrated into all curricular
areas, so students can understand how the skills they are learning
in the classroom relate to the skills they will need beyond the
classroom..
Two activities that are consistent for all
students in the state are the Individual Career Plan (ICP) and the Career
Passport. Click on the links above to view the ICP prototype and the
Career Passport Guidelines.
The career coordinators in the local career
development programs collect data on the numbers of students who initiate
and review ICPs and Career Passports, as well as accountability measures
for these initiatives. Click on the Statistical Data link above for
the most recent data.
